    Battery

    Having touble with my battery it aint chargeing put a multimeter on the battery when running and its the same when off 12.6 i think. where do i go from here.

    check the reading on the alternator terminals should be 13.6, if its not you probably need new brushes get them from Lucas about £15 I think

    make sure that the little yellow wire going to the top of the alt also has 12v on it while running, if there is no 12v on this wire then the alternator will not switch on and charge. Also, make sure the wire is on the right terminal, most GTT's have spade connectors there by now, make sure they havn't been swapped about.

    if that checks out ok then the alt is probably duff.

    Alternator aint reading anything and the signal is only 0.03 if that even counts

    on the yellow wire ? If the yellow doesn't have 12v then there is a problem upstream, check the hell connector behind the passanger headlamp, etc. Or, if your lazy, take another feed from an ignition live (like the yellow wire on the ignition module, or another yellow wire in the hell connector) and bring it to the alternator.

    Yer, carnt seem to get anything from one off the yellows on the connecter either 3rd one in, not the fatter one if you get me. could this be causeing any other problems ie rad fan because its on a switch at the moment.

    Right still no joy got a new 12v feed and a new alternator and still the hightest reading i get is 12.6 and it nots steady. what else could it be.
