    Re: side exit help

Its probably coincidence that something else has broke, exhaust wont make any difference

Maybe just easier to hear now with the sidey. As brigsy says exhaust won't do anything

    Re: side exit help

Just a thought but it isnt blowing the spark out is it
What boost pressure are you showing now and is it significantly more
Than before you fitted the sidey?

With a much less restrictive exhaust turbos tend to work better

But I'm with brigsy on this one something else has probly broke

not sure about blowing the spark out ?
its still running same boost 10 psi
ive still got stock turbo elbow
seems like when you put foot down it just dies now and then and backfires

    Re: side exit help

I had this many moons ago when I changed to a sidey, I ended up taking it off and putting my scorpion back on. However, back then I was not monitoring AFR's etc. Are you? It may be that now you have a lot less restriction that low down you may be quite weak. Might be worth looking at that. I know that once I had done a fair amount of work over the years and monitored AFR's and tuned that correctly all was good, setup.

Check the tdc lead, it goes right above the exhaust and you may have knocked it? Make sure its not fallen onto the exhaust seen that happen many times.

If tdc is fine, guessing it could be one of these - reference pipe to fpr might be split, faulty fpr, fuel filter blocked, fuel pump on its way out.

will i need a new one maybe wires are abit dodgy if i can remember from back in the day my i had to do it to one of my old cars ?
if it is playing up would it stop the car from starting as it did this ?
