    Re: M11 GTT - Clio Mk1 F7P Turbo

I will be at RTOC national day, provided all goes well with running engine in and MOT in next fortnight :-)

i have since fitted my exhaust, however it doesnt line up with the downpipe/decat so i need to get a flexi straight through made up (it was the plan anyway but wanted to get MOT done first) however it'll be done first now :-)

pre-rad when i swapped it, first pic was old way round, second pic was after swap over

    Re: M11 GTT - Clio Mk1 F7P Turbo

12 months ticket on it today

tickled boost on the way home too, including WOT.........
good god i actually popped wood 8)

updates to come, perhaps vids etc depending how excited i get.

teething issues so far after 8 months out of action:

1 - Exhaust sounds like its blowing from the downpipe, all joints are leak free so its either a weird placebo from the turbo to downpipe gasket i've added (and considering removing, turbo and gaskets are just a waste of time) or its a cracked front pipe!

2 - exhaust backbox is knocking on the rear chassis leg a touch, not bad but not ideal
touch wood that seems to be it so far..................... drives lovely and my god does it shift!

The Rain The Rain!!!! Since I MOT'd the car Saturday its done nothing but rain, so not even used it!!!

not happy, 8 months of waiting and the Great British summertime scuppers me

as such I decided to look to the future.............and bought some more shiny stuff!

    Re: M11 GTT - Clio Mk1 F7P Turbo

    list of niggles grows:

    - exhaust blows at manifold
    - exhaust knocks on chassis leg
    - cambelts too tight
    - blowers don't work
    - clutch needs adjusting - DONE!! :-)
    - rear is too low, seems to of settled lower on new shocks and looks ridiculous!

mostly easy fixes, just hoping I've not split the exhaust manifold gasket.......

just weighed the car on the company weighbridge, not mega accurate (20kg) but gives an idea
    960kg
that's without me in it and no fuel at all hardly, so pod weight including driver would be around 1000kg I reckon taking into account removing the heavy sparco seats and putting in my single GRP seat
I was hoping for lighter tbh!

Bloody hell! We are 760 without driver on yellow race car. We have to run glass and winders for the project 8 regs.

    Re: M11 GTT - Clio Mk1 F7P Turbo

ai I know the 5's are much lighter

I was hoping for around 920 tbh in current trim, but I spose as mentioned, the reclinders are heavy and the spares still in there too, rip them out and it'd be more on the money
