    actuaror for 22psi

I'm looking for an actuator to fit my t28 that can hold 22psi of boost pref without the need to use a bleed valve. I have an actuator rated for 22psi that came with a t2/25 but it can't hold 1bar with a bleed valve on the t28 looking for something cheap and readily available, what you guys suggest was thinking a garret -31 or -34 will they be up to the job?

will do il prob just pinch one off a cossie they come up on the bay cheap quite often. Have you got a t28 now matey? If not get one really works well with the Volvo lump, only slight prob is with bigger injectors fueling is a bit of a fiddle and part throttle is not as good as with standard injectors.

Not yet, probably going to stick with the t2 for now, the car does what i wanted it to, its still quick to 100 mph.

I need a spin out in a b18 5 with the bigger turbo really to see if its what i fancy.

How is yours running Gary, i take it you have had fueling problems, how does it feel with the t28?

yeah its running fine at the mo i have got the fueling pretty good but still a bit rich but with the nature of tricking the maf with a hole in the inlet pipe its never going to be spot on. I thought mine went really well at 18psi with a t2/25 and was a lot nicer to drive on the road and off boost driving but the straight line grunt of the t28 is ace If i ever make it to a big event in the 5 youre more than welcome to a passenger ride matey

Try a -34. My -31 wont hold more than 18 psi without bleeding off.

    Re: actuaror for 22psi

Think im going to invest in a -34 to, i have my boost controller set to the max to bleed off at 90% duty cycle and its just getting 18psi, james a while back said i probably have a very weak standard actuator.

Might as well buy the -34 for if i decide to go for a t28 or gt28

Pleased your car is going well Gary, sounds like the t28 is more for a quick squirt down the straights, not for on track.

The t28 spools really well I get full boost at the same time I would with my old t2/25 and now it pulls strong all the way up the rev range. Spool is prob helped by a 3" elbow/dpi I have fitted now. I have yet to take it out on track but I think it will work well, its just if you want to crawl along at slight throttle it judders about a bit but as soon as you plant your foot its sorted. if anything probs better for track than rd

    Re: actuaror for 22psi

my turbo sits in the same place as on the c1j big jim made a log manifold for me. Think it was ashy put a bms downpipe on ebay with a t28 flange and 3" down to 2.5" so i bought it
Only prob with moving the turbo is getting the maf away from the turbo far enough so the holes you cut in the inlet pipe to trick the maf dont mess with it
