bit of advice on a gearbox rebuild please..

Hi all..

Got a clio 16v gearbox that won't select anygears and sounds pretty ropey when you spin the shaft.. Just wondering if it would be easy to strip one down and rebuild it? Also is it easy enough to get the parts for them? Thanks chaps..

gearbox rebuilds are somthing best left to the experts id say mate..

But i may be wrong , just somehwere i dont venture.

Well I've built the engine and now fancied my chances having a bash at a gearbox.. Something to do in the winter months lol.

its fiddly to come apart and put together in the correct order getting the selectors in correctly. I've not come accross spurious gearbox components weve only ever used renault, but parts are usually available within a couple of days, not that cheap tho.

Well I've got the box so aslong as I don't spend 100's I suppose It dosent matter if it never works.. Anybody on here succesfully rebuilt one?
