First post!

Hi guys just become a fully paid up member today woohoo!, I'm andy for west Yorkshire, and hope to be looking for my first 5 early next year. Ever since I nearly bought a tungy phase 2 when I was 19 (I'm now 27) it's bin niggling at me ever since so I have told myself and my Girlfriend Lol that I must buy one and get it out of my system. I've had a number of cars since then which include a s2 escort rs turbo, golf gti, r33 gts, impreza turbo 2000 and a Leon cupra r which I have at the mo ( got it to be practical lol ) but I have always had a 5 in the back of my mind so the Plan is to get rid of the Leon, get an old estate for the dog and daily commute and a 5 as a weekend toy! Well that's the plan anyway lol. Done enuf talking so hello!

no problem, its ideal really to get in there, mingle a bit , look at what r5's are around and get a good idea of the issues with them, so that you dont end up with a ****ter when the tiem comes to buy.

Yeah that's the idea mate, i know that poor modding and maitainence on 5s can make them a nightmere to live with so that's why I join the club for good advice and banter! Lol

Yeah that's the idea mate, i know that poor modding and maitainence on 5s can make them a nightmere to live with so that's why I join the club for good advice and banter! Lol

Buy the best you can afford and then budget at least the same again for giving it a fresh bill of health.
Over the years I have owned numerous hot hatches, Jap cars and a classic Ferrari but the Renault 5 has been the most expensive in terms of cost of ownership.

Good advice mate, not sure wot my budget will be to buy, hopefully bout 3.5k. I know wot u mean tho, when I had the skyline and the impreza I spent a small fortune just keeping them serviced! Nevermind mods

This car looks good to me, has been used everyday (a good thing) and crucially has had all the right bits replaced.

Your budget would allow you some change to get the few bits done to make it perfect then just enjoy!

Yeah seen this one already, can't really buy at tho mo tho, just gona gather as much info as possible, hopefully meet a few ppl on sat at the rolling road day too and have a look round a few cars, haven't seen a 5 in ages!

with regards of your idea of getting as much info as poss thats not a bad idea id also imagine a fellow rtoc member wouldnt mind going with you to a view a 5gtt
