Fifth gear and Big Steve's raider

Steve has asked me to run a poll on a couple of question's he's set

If you didn't know, Steve's raider was used recently by Fifth gear to film a comparison feature between the R5GTT and the new RS Twingo cup.

Question: Which car do you think was faster round the Handling Circuit of Milbrook driven by Jason Plato ? Big Steve's raider or the new Renaultsport twingo cup ?

The poll should be at the top of your screen, check it out..

There is a Question 2 also, its here:

You really should try reading every thread mate. Quote from my super long reportage post from yesterday:

I imagine that’s the effect of ESP & the progresses made in handling in 17 years!!! He said it definatly felt more 'grunty' than the Twingo.

Is the POL just for fun with no winner? because how will we know who won if they didn't tell you and you weren't timing it? As they will edit it to give it the stance they want??!!

I don't think polls have winners, 9/10 cats may prefer whiskers, but they don't get an extra mouse for being in the majority.

Re: Fifth gear and Big Steve's raider

I have been lucky enough to drive both in anger......

the 5 should have better grunt out the bends, the Twingo has more stability mid corner......

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH its a tough one for me....

I'd say Twingo...sorry Steve.....but that doenst mean i'm going to be getting rid of a 5 for a twingo, I'd have to take both, LOL....

I know it's not the question but i think your average driver would be able push the Twingo round faster than the 5 unfortunately.

    ITS TRUE...

the twingo with all its electrickery was very very good in the wet on the limit.....you really couldnt lose it big time without driving it blind fold...

even then it cupped your bollox ready for impact

for good drivers esp can be a pain especially on only mildly tuned cars like the twingo

i would have thought the gtt had a naturally lower centre of gravity which in turn allows the front end to really dig in , in those corners.

its bound to be lighter and have a higher bhp to ton ratio.

i would have thought the gtt would win comfortably

ive got a mitsy colt czt with 170bhp and my five can beat it

the colt handles ****, the esp is so restrictive and although its fast, the gtt has that extra raw acceleration

this is what im saying, my colt turbo on a 56 plate is not as fast as my gtt, so if fifth gear come back and say the twingo is faster ill laugh my little dick off.

Oh ok, it's just an opinion poll I thought it was a question to which we would get the answer (i.e the twingo was faster or the 5 was faster) sorry! my apologies.
