bloody suspention, what combo is it?

right my car has ph1 struts i think, only saying that as i had to elongate the hole for the hub in the strut so saying its phase 1 so im correct in thinking it req ph 1 top mounts now? its subframe is clio 16v apparently as has the valver box engine and shafts

reason i ask as its all abit positive on the ph2 tops i want to order correct parts as in the ph1 tops? see pics

    help!

if the strut to hub bolt holes are roughly parallel then you have phase 1 struts. If they're not, i.e. the lower hole is further away from the strut than the upper, you have phase 2.

If you were to run phase 2 top mounts with phase 1 struts, the result would indeed be positive camber.

I'd say they were ph2 struts as the bottom hole looks further out than the top one? unless its an optical illusion

To say my head hurts is a understatement, I fitted ph2 tops as I thought they were ph2 I chucked the campus struts out that had ph1 tops on lol as I was sure they were ph2 shocks till I fitted them I had them built up with new bearings and pollybush donuts then this crazy camber angle going on, I think ph1 tops would sort it out though as I'd actually have some negative camber.........its great for tire wear

regards your pm,, although its been a while, campus and ph1 are the same strut and strut top, its the hubs thats different. ph1 and 2 hubs are the same.
looks like you've got campus hubs and ph2 struts? have you got a pic of the strut tops in situ? ph2 are sided, black and gold, dont think ph1 are. the hump should be back to the bulkhead and in towards the engine

If you have valver Subframe then you'll more than likely have it's wishbones which are wider than a gtt. So what ever top mounts you have it'll have monster camber unless you use custom shock mountingS.
