    polysport bushes

New poster! (less than 10 posts)

Quick question over the polysport bushes offered by CGB,

I had a quick look at the bushes for the inner and outer anti-roll bar positions and they look different to the bushes offered by CGB.

Anybody have experience of fitting these and are they the right bushes?
    The wishbone bushes look okay.

    Re: polysport bushes

The ARB bushes are different between the phase 1 and phase 2. For some reason I had phase 1 bushes fitted to my phase 2 car. Phase 1 are a lot smaller in size but have a larger outer ridge width wise if that makes sense

Look at http://www.raldes.co.uk/ for bushes. Works out cheaper.

Interesting, but I take it the ph 1 bushes still fit and work just as well?

My car is late 90 and has never had the ARB bushes replaced. I'm assuming they are ph 2.
I found an unused set of ARB polysport bushes I had knocking about from a prev 5. They are the same as those in the pics on CGB... are these ph 2 or ph 1?

Those are classed as the phase 1 on rally design website.

Best thing is to take a look at what you got on there though. I had phase 1 fitted to my phase 2 so you might be lucky as well.

    Re: polysport bushes

I'm in the process of fitting the Rally Design bushes to my Ph2 and found that the inner bushes were phase one versions.

Quick question tho, when fitting these bushes why do you need to have the suspension loaded up (i.e. wheels back on and on the floor) before torqing them up?

    Re: polysport bushes

usually only necessary when fitting wishbone bushes.if u torque them up in the fully jacked (down)position and then u let the car down the rubber will be twisted and loaded all the time and wont last as long!!
