Also the rear door card looks saggy and by the rear seatbelt clip there looks to be 2 small holes, I know there'd be niggle bits but if i handed over 10k i'd expect a new gtt.

It's also missing the front bumper lower flap/cover, and the removeable 'kidney' grilles that cover the access holes to the rear light cluster fixture screws.

    Good luck getting the £10k...

What nonsense!! 2 stamps over 23 years is not exactly FSH. How the hell can you wear out the drivers seat bolster in approx 30k miles. When I bought mine with 27k miles 20 years ago, it looked brand new. No side stickers, means bodywork. This is not a great example @ £10k. My one is cleaner and better in everyway.

In theory then it should have roughly 21 year old oil in it, well depending on when the 2nd service was done, maybe when it was 2 years old.

If the advert said modified mint condition, would we still slate it for the loss of decals, rear trims, saggyness of cards etc?

    the seller "it's modified mate"

If he were still asking £10k, yes.

Hoolio's white 5 & Steve's Raider are the 2 cleanest GTT's I've ever seen, but, with all due respect, I'm sure they'd even admit that asking £10k for their cars would be fantasy land.

The only thing that Ebay 5 has going for it, is the 'one owner from new' shpiel, but that means jack if it's been maintained by John Wayne & Sons. I fail to see how advertising the fact it (only) has 2 stamps from Renault on a ~23 year old car would help generate any interest? He'd have been better off saying nothing, unless, of course, it's a simple mistype, and he meant 22...

Surely he means 22 stamps. Nice car. £4k maybe given the very low mileage and one owner status?

Perhaps the market needs more people selling GTTs at these prices (or gradually increasing from current average values) to take account of the GTT's slow transition to true classic. Anyone saying that "no way I'm paying that, GTT's were only £7k new" is foolishly dismissing 20yrs of monetary inflation.

Yes bolster looks very warn for such low mileage. It is definitely splitting.
Some of the wheels are kerbed, decals missing and I wouldn't call 2 stamps full service history!

£500 plus to put that lot right and imagine it needs a thorough service if it has only had two in 22 years.

With respect mate, you don't typo the most important thing. If he's making typo's, then surely the price should be £999! Resprayed, with tatty interior, and little service history. That is about right.

I would like the price of real minters climb past current levels. I'd would expect a full portforlio for 10k.

It's probably just a dealer trying their luck. They got it in as a part ex', for pennies, and they're trying to make an easy bit of wedge.

The problem is, that they haven't done their research. If they stuck it up for £4k, they'd probably get some interest, and still make a packet!

As said, it looks a clean car, and the one owner is a rarity these days. It's nowhere near £10k's worth though.

Based on what that dealer's calculations, due to it's mileage, service history and number of former owners; my tungy is worth somewhere in the region of £25,000!

What a load of old pony!!
