    boost solenoid

how does this work and what does it do? pipe work leaves the turbo snail then into the solenoid then back to the actuator. its also got a pipe that runs into the turbo inlet. can this be binned and bypassed?

    Re: boost solenoid

Take the whole lot off. Go from comp housing to actuator and adjust boost with the actuator or a bleed valve. You can go from the plenum to the actuator and block the port on the comp housing.

    Re: boost solenoid

if the ecu is original you can keep the solenoid. it controls the boost. if the ecu sees that the boost is to high, then the solnoid opens en bleeds the pressure.

i gonna use it again with my BIG mod conversion. the solenoid helps the ECU learn how to handle the boost.

    Re: boost solenoid

The boost valve doesn't work properly on bigger boost cars, it just wont bleed enough to make big boost. The ecu is too basic and doesn't learn as it has set values, only makes minor adjustments to fuelin when usin later ecu's with lambda probe. Mbc's take the control from ecu to user, much better when you want a set boost.
