agree was a top day(apart from it been far to cold for me) some very nice high powered 5s

why am i failing to beleive that

im not doubting it at all,its just you dont see many[if any?] 5s making that sort of power.

im assuming if it is making this power its not on a day to day basis though? right?

whos glenn? a member?,and whats the spec of his engine?

Arrived just in time to see the mighty 330bhp run!! Awesome! Will have a new turbo on mine at xmas so will be booking it in then! Didn't fancy putting the 1.9 205 diesel on the rollers!!

Thanks to Ashy and the guys for organising a top day! Even the run up/down was superb! Well, all apart from losing my car outside the RR place as we left and mounting the curb ending up on the grass, knocking my steering out and damaging one of my wheels. Devastated!

Anways, good to get the car on the rollers and see how accurate Renaults figures were, and to be honest, they were pretty good!

... Equally as good to see everyone again and roll on the next even whatever it may be..HOWEVER, if the roads are slightly damp I'm jumping in with someone!

....

Yeah Great day, thanks to everyone who turned out, struggled to get 15 deposits then 25 turn up on the day

I think Glen made 194bhp at 24psi then put a canny bit of the laughing gas up it bum and it nearly climbed out of the rollers!!

Pleased with mine 238bhp at 10psi

glenn's car was interesting to watch, I've never heard such a change in engine note when gas comes on, it was like a doubling of torque instantly, how that held together I don't know. well done

Cheers Scoff , 270bhp was a bit of a surprise really , was pretty pleased though

the car defo has an issue with the boost control that may need changing to the old trusty bleedvalve and also the rev limit needs upping so there should be more improvements , another 450+ miles on it aswell with no probs what so ever

i never had the camera today forgot to lift it

another good rr session from ashy and motoscope well run,well organised thats how it should be...some really good figure on the rollers the ones that stand out for me are mudslingers fine overall car that can only get better with the miles,the red nocturnal one,and of course our local lad glenn in the nitrous powered beast that that sounded awesome...well done everyone for some well set up cars with no major faults on the day.

Raj there were C1J's there making more power without Gas, one R5 made 240bhp without Gas! I wouldn't get too concerned about what has been done to the engine, Jaffa ran nearly 300hp on a new standard engine when he used Gas. Glenn has a very good Nitrous setup and with that anything is possible (as long as the engine holds together)!

yeah i understand what u r sayin and agree if u have the time then better to get the most without nos.....but when u have experienced the sheer extra torque+accelaration nos gives u then u will find it hard to go back

the engine is fine and stays together ok

all you need is a uncle ian that knows wot he is doing,laughing gas or not 330 bhp read it and weep

mud, aii something funky happening with your boost control, maybe something to do with the responce of the solenoid and/or the gain settings. bleed valve sounds good

the red car was James F. actually one I set up a year or 2 back while GT Matt owned it. Nice car, glad to see it still going strong.

top day ash, least i made it to one event this year, good to catch up with old faces n meet some new ones. some impressive cars too, which is makin me feel like ma 5 is laggin behind and has spurred me to crack on. comedy drive home was a good crack, not often we convoy at my sorta pace

im personally not out to achieve big power out of my engine, to be honest a std with a little boost increase is good enough for me

as for my engine looking the bogs?? bollox, yes i like tarting them up,makes them look cleaner

. however my preference has since changed and the next engine will be black,black and more black

i can only imagine how your car performs

would love to see it on the strip and around a track with that power
