another possible meet in surrey

afternoon guys and girls as most of you will know i organise the surrey meet once a month which i think has been a great success seeing as i started it in the colder months ready for the summer months this year.

i have taken it upon myself to contact the chaiman of an organised fete which is held once a year in a big park and is at the top of the road by the surrey meet, i told them about rtoc and the meets that we go to and i have asked if we could park lots of cars on there grounds on the fete day.

They absolutely loved the idea and I have been given the green light to go ahead and organise this with whoever is up for it in the owners club, all cars will be on show to the public so will need to be nice and shiny and the cars will all need to be on the park between 9am and no later than 10.30am for safety reasons. The fete will start from 1.30pm-4.30pm there will be lots of things happening on the day so should be a good day out so children partners and friends are welcome,best of all it would not cost anyone a penny to be there for the day.My plan was then to all go back to the surrey meet afterwards for a big BBQ and the normal drinks and get together for the rest of the evening however here is the bad news.

the Fete has for many years always been held on a bank holiday monday and for this year would fall on the 2nd of may 2011, there has been big talks and im in discusion with the commitee of the fete at the mo as they are trying to move the date to saturday the 7th of may which would mess everything up as i would not be able to get this day off work so i have told them in black and white if they do it on bank holiday monday or even on the sunday i will pack there fete full of Renaults but if its on a saturday i will have to cancel the cars for the day and look to do it in 2012

i would really need a minimum of 20 cars there ONLY renaults but would love to see loads of cars there and i have been asked to try and find out numbers in advance now to see if i can swing it in my favour for it to still happen on the bank holiday monday or even sunday the 1st of may, if anyone is bang up for this please add your name to the list knowing you will be able to make the dates

cheers guys for your inputs we need to keep this list going if we want any chance of this meet/show day to take place the more names we have the more chance we have of getting the sunday or bank holiday monday for rtoc it will be a whole day and evening event,i really woud like to see alot of cars from round the country there

Hi guys and girls i have now been updated on the fete meet i have been trying to organise for the last few weeks for us lot to show our cars off on the 2nd of may bank holiday monday. Unfortunatly this is no longer going to happen for us as they have now cancelled the fete completely for 2011 but what i do have is a written invite for the cars to make an appearance there in 2012 if everyone is still up for it the date will still need to be confirmed but my guess is it will still be around the same date as this years cancelled event.

so here is what i would like to do as a back up plan if i was to organise a bbg day still on the 2nd of may at the social club where the surrey meet is held would anybody be up for it, i was going to leave it open as a whole day event so it could happen from 12 in the afternoon till the club shuts in the evening, you will need to bring your own grub if you want to use the barby and all partners/kids and friends are welcome plus the important thing that needs to be there is your RENAULTS

please do add your name if you would like to come as i will let the club know we will be there on that day and i can sort out a bbg cheers phil

afternoon to you all some progress on the meet in may, i have now booked the social club for the whole day on the 2nd of may 2011 bank holiday monday from 12pm afternoon till it closes that evening i hope we have the weather on our side for this day.You can turn up when you want and leave when you want its open for the whole day or stay for the full duration i will happily do a bbq but we can all take it in turns cooking up if need be
