    Re: dimma 5 turbo

then I stripped her out fitted cobra buckets and that’s how she was for a while, power wise?? I dnt knw ktec set it up for 18psi on a t25 but I don’t trust previous owners so I turned the boost down for now to bout 10 psi well within what a standard carb can cope with. Then I hit some boosting problems at 2k comeing on boost it would splutter n nearly cut out, I swapped the modded carb for a standard one of my raider and it sorted it but again turned boost down to bout 8 psi
some plonker had fitted a surfboard to the front of the bumper so I removed, and added a ctm open mouth grill which looks wired in a pinky gold flip, and decided to go fmic.

Should help the little ones cooling issues the got some hard boost pipes but still haven’t got round to getting my silicones yet. This is how she sits atm moment, well sort of anyway

After a hard night at work ive decide on my color scheme 
Main body and centre of wheels will be ford panther black
All brackets and various other stuff and outer lip of wheels will be Chrysler sbe
Along come some Renault 21 txe discs 285

    And the brackets to suit
Freshly painted in the color of choice 

Only to find the calipers catch on the edge of of my rims, so that mod is on hold for now and standard go back on for now
Which brings me to this week if started to strip the under neath ready for painting

    Re: dimma 5 turbo

wat a day dint tink i got much done yesterday, all repairs now on offside just need a final skim and got half the boot floor down to bare metal. should get the inside finished next weekend and maybe the underneath bare metaled then crack on with the other side which leaves me a couple of bits to weld up, take doors of and finish the engine bay before i go for color,
i do hate this stage tho seeing your pride and joy in this stage, espes when there no light at the end of the tunnel!!

This is fantastic, nice to see someone putting the time in and not breaking a car! What paint did you use for the wishbones and suspension mate?

Feck me, that red/pink grille is from Dave Healy's old debacle! He spent a wedge making that car into a montrous, ill fitting heap about 6-7 years ago. Stayed in one piece for years, in fact I didn't know it had finally been broken up. The grille didn't fit right back then so good luck making it sit straight this time round. Lol.

thats going back abit the last i remember of that pinky 5 was that he didnt drive it as he bought an rx7.? he also had a nice phase1 didnt he.?

as for the grill not fitting properly, wasnt that more than likely due to his car being involved in a front ender? i recall even his morettes where sitting abit wonky too. may not be a grill issue.
