Its been tucked away in the garage since September, uni work has taken over my life!

I've got a few jobs left to complete:

1 paint side skirts, bumpers, gril and bonnet
2 kit the engine up and fit new T25.
3 fit coilovers and lower rear.

I've just taken a new job, so i'll need to complete over the next couple of months to move house. I'll probably pay someone to finish the paint work, as i've not got enough spare time and the garage is too cold to paint.

Well today has been a challenge remembering where all the brackets and nuts and bolts go I've got a fair bit done today.

Got some electrical gremlins to sort out. No oil warning light when ignition is on and the indicators don't work when the rear lights are connected. Probably some dodgy GND's.

Just noticed youve got the wrong oil filter on there. Its the long narrow filter you have as found on lesser model R5`s alot of people have had oil pressure drops when using them....Get yourself the flatter type O.E filter

Been busy over the last few days; cleaned all coolant and boost pipe and give them a silicon coating to make them shine.

    Finished refurb'ing the front grill

Also blasted and repainted the airbox

This is how the engine bay is looking this evening; tomorrow is should be complete

I'd get a few filters in one go, saves u ordering and waiting, once its all built you'll want to do a few changes. should imagine they may do a bit better discount if u buy a few.

Get rid of that piston d/v bud! I've no problem with d/v's on a GTT at all but the Bailey piston-type d/v's are known to cause problems. The residue in boost has the piston sticking in no time and it can kill various expensive things.

    Also, get new headlights.

The original white bumpers are damaged and I couldn't face painting the kit pearl white as its a pain the ass colour to paint, 9 coats in total. Also I like the ph1 two tone colour scheme.

Haven't you got a ph1 pearl white with grey bumpers??

    Ah ok, just checking.

Yep, I was originally gunna keep the bumpers the off white colour they came in but after seeing the first one painted I decided it needed to be darker so I told the guy and he said he had something that'd do the job, next time I saw the bumpers they were all painted and on the car, I wasn't sure at first but they seem to work ok with the OE pearl white

Fitted the arches and side skirts last night, very pleased with the result. So i've got a front bumper and the tailgate trim left to paint.

I'm probably going to fit the bonnet without repainting it, as I'd rather wait for warmer weather to get the best finish.

So the plan is to have the car on the road by next friday

My ph1 rims are pretty good, just need a set of tyres for them. I'm not sure if I should get rid of the turbines and put the originals back on?

More painting done tonight: tailgate trim, Under light trims, and wing mirror painted.

Hopefully be in a position to start her up over the weekend
