    Re: Mallory 2011 Track Layout

Gerads best corner of circuit and breaking it up will lose this but tbh happy with whatever the layout is having more corners will cause the powerful stuff to stuggle more, not the biggest track in full open layout but think it will help encourage non trackers to go out and should slow things down a bit. Downside could be if people dont use mirrors and track dont use the blue flag a bit more

Could end up as a convoy

Think as we have had the same layout the last few years it will be interesting to experiance a different layout and looking forward to it. Certainly tighter track suits the 5

Will actually track something this year after I ended up with nothing last time

Yes , could get a bit congested so we will probably have a limit on cars on track at any one time .Suck it and see on the day .

I think this is a great idea, i have done a fair few croft days and there is a time slot for a number of cars i think 10 a team and then they do 15mins a time, Unsure if this would work, people may think 15mins isnt a long time but belive me it is !!

i'd go anywhere...... tbh...............another hour or two on the motorway makes no odds when its a full weekend..................as long as its in june or july for more chance of the old current bun on our backs............................ any ways the more bends in mallory to slow the fastest cars down might not be a bad thing this year... the circuit will be more about driver skill than pure bhp......er poss

dose it really matter bends in bends out isint it about the rush of adrenalin when you hit boost and you start smilling as for over taking not a prob as long as there is room .
adds to the experiance and the fun of tryng to get back past

You will have to change the ND stickers to add in the bends too!

    Re: Mallory 2011 Track Layout

Adding chicanes just makes an otherwise fast and flowing track harder work and less fun, IMO.

The exit from Gerrards is one of the most challenging parts of the circuit, seems a shame to turn it into a braking zone .

    Re: Mallory 2011 Track Layout

Word is that we will be able to change the layout if required on the day .We can do this at the lunch break .I'm for just putting Edwinas in as the other two will probably just cause a traffic jam .
There will be a wide spread of abilities and more 'RULES' this year so we are trying to make it friendly for all

    Re: Mallory 2011 Track Layout

I'm with you Clee, I've just been watching a couple of vids on you tube from ND and those straights aren't the longest to start with.

With the inclusion of all the corners it'll end up a procession which will frustrate the experienced members with a lack of overtaking and terrify the first timer as they'll have more braking points and corner lines to worry about.

I think with just adding Edwinas it would add enough variation to keep everyone happy.
