only if its fixed to the block at the same level as the drain plug

im assuming the drain plug is at the lowest point at where the coolant sits within the block and flushing with this undone will get rid off all the muck which may have settled.!!
im wanting to do this as the car has been stood 2yrs without starting. the stat had aload of cystalized coolant caked all over it, and also alot in the cyl head too. so you can see why im wanting to do a full proper black flush.

If the coolants that bad it wants to be flushed properly with a hosepipe to get all the ****e out, so a hose would probably need to come off at some point..
