F7P oil feed & drain, water hoses etc

Has anyone got any piccies of where the feed is taken from, is it where the oil pressure switch sits now in the back of the block.
Also do I just drill & tap a drain into the sump?
I have a phase 1 tin sump & an ally one, I take it the ally one is better, mainly to aid oil cooling or should I be looking at an oil cooler as well....
Also does anyone know the dimensions etc of the oil feed & a place to get one made up, think automotive, or Ben @ hose solutions ?
While we are here where do I tap into the water pipes for the turbo?

Sorry for all the Q's I hate going into things totally blind.

    ta
    Steve

As its an identical block as the B18FT you can take the oil feed from the same place, it does come from where the oil pressure switch lives.

The oil return on the B18FT lives on the back of the block, not too sure of on the F7P the same cast step is there which the oil drain is fitted to. If so you could drill and tap that out there and run the oil feed in the block.
A pic will help out better, will see if i can get one tomorrow.

If not drill the sump and weld/tap a fitting in there so you can run the return straight to the sump.

Cheers Mark, yeah a piccy will help. Since my funds are rapidly depleting I may go low boost turbo while I build another lump up & get the other bits n bobs for high boost. Just won another couple of engines off ebay so I should have at least have all the parts to make up a decent block while I rebuild the other..... at least I hope
£160 between them & one comes with another loom & the other a gearbox, can't be bad..

renault themselfs along with smalll/big end bearings, unless your going forged

be interesting to see how much boost the ringlands take on the standard piston ,compared to the c1j,

might even be worth considering running a fair bit of boost on standard compression ,if youve got stand alone ecu and spot on fueling,

just a thought a nobody has tried it yet,

Renault are to expensive for parts , local motor factors or Mike on here is the best place . For example, Renault wanted £40 per set of rings, times that by 4 & it is bloody expensive ! Motor factors are about £55-60 for the lot !

Do I need an oil cooler?
Been thinking about it & I thought I did so bought a mocal one, but then a couple of people have said they don't bother. The car will be driven on the road, occasionally on track & the odd pod day... ?
Shall I fit it or sell it ?

This is one thing I'm having trouble deciding on, the f7r megane engine comes with a water cooled sandwich plate and it seems slot of the Clio boys use them with no trouble when turbo'd, but I wonder how well it'll hold up under lots of hard use

I can't see alot of cooling being had if the water & oil is run through the turbo, lol.
