    Hi, thanks for the comments, in time I hope to get a standard front bumper and grill on. Was a great feeling driving the 5 home, definately puts a big smileon my face!

    Hi james, gets some miles on the engine then she'll be ready for some extra boost and carb rejetting. The turbo is good for 14psi any day and thanks for the comment.

    Cheers for the comments people, absolutely loving the car, what amuses me is last night my corsa c daily drive didnt like the cold and wasnt the best at starting. Yet R5 started first turn of the key!

    Same type of bumper was advertised on ebay as being a skeete one?

    Seem to remember that was a wide body kit

    It's a Skeete front bumper, I've got the same one.

    They came as a std replacement and as part of their 'Dimma Style' wide arch kit. I think there early versions used rectangle spot/fog lights.

    thought so. mine has got the rectangle fog lights groves in.mines just stacked up in the back garden tho

    thats right mate. 1st time i have seen that bump on a 5 that hasnt got a wide kit on

    Well another day of sorting stuff on the R5 stereo now sorted and fog lights all wired in! Also fitted a roof linning so cars all good now! (well as much as my budget will go) Have used campus doorcards but with turbo doorbins, will at a later date fit the door top covers (so they look like turbo ones) didnt want to wreck the turbo door cards ive got!

    Cheers to MATTY J, I got a front grill for the R5,did a test fit today before I get it sprayed!




    Also a few weeks ago I adjusted torsionbar to make the car an inch higher at the rear.




    Its getting there now, looking very OE!

    in that pic , u see that little scab, (bottom of the boot floor).. sort out that scab, pull back the under seal and clean it up .. check my thread as it will show you what happens when left..

    Well plan is to keep R5 long term so looks like i will be buying some underseal and getting some sanding done.

    Have had to replace boot because of the classic rot problem!

    Thanks to steve all my welding has been sorted - and I now have a rot free R5. Just a respray required now and its all sorted!

    Didnt realise till this morning that Ive got caught by the sun as well! So steve must have been as red as his england top! Top class work he did as well, now ive undersealed the sill and arches you cannot tell where hes welded in the new plate!

    Spent the day on the 5 today, started with following members advice on cleaning the VIP carpet then after it had dried started reassembling my interior, am well impressed with how it cam out! Just bodywork to sort now! Managed to get one wing on!

    Bit more progress, fitted proper speaker pods, and refitted speakers. Will fit series 2 doorcards back on to match rear quarters, so all interior will look totally oe!
