    Iceburg 172

A few months ago I bought a standard 172 in Iceburg 2002 with 55k on the clock.

Firstly, I spruced up the brake calipers. Whilst the the wheels were off I also cleaned and dressed the arches.

    Products used-
    Snow foam
    Meguiars APC
    Wire brush
    Smooth Silver Hammerite metal paint
Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel

    Before:

    After:

Next up I had a go at correcting the head light damage.

    Products used-
Halfords 600, 800, 1200 grit wet and dry
    DAS-6 DA
    Menzerna compound, polishing, finishing pads
Menzerna Power Finish (PO203S)Menzerna Super Finish (PO106FA)
    Menzerna Final Finish (PO85RD)
    Zaino Z-2 Pro

    Before:

    After:

I have also done the usual refinements -

Clear indicators bulb (front and rear)
    182 clear side repeaters
    Fabia splitter

I have also fitted a carbon effect vinyl'd front diamond

And this is how the car looks now -

I hate the OE alloys but didn't want to do spend a lot as this car was brought to save money. I then found a set of Rota alloys from a local Cliosport member and decided to spray them anthracite with a massive help from fellow member j8tro

Here are the alloys when I bought them, there were originally white but the face had been sprayed silver:dapprove:

The alloys were sanded with various grits from 320 to 1200

Then masked up ready to prime with Halfords Grey Primer

2 coats of primer was enough for a decent coverage

Next step was to paint and I decided to use Halfords Anthracite wheel paint

The front diamond was sanded and primed ready for paint

The alloys are now finished, to lacquer them I used 2 coats of Halfords Heavy Duty PU Lacquer

And fitted (not the best pic at all, only got them on yesterday)

I have got some centre caps on order from Rarerims.

I have also got the anthracite diamond fitted to match the wheels.

    Few updates -

I've changed the interior bulbs and number plate bulbs to white LED and added a set of RS mats.

Had the Aux Belt changed at BTM Performance and fitted a set of springs

New white LED side lights -

    Lowered pictures (phone quality) -

    New exhaust clip -
