    despereate help! b18ft with clio rsi 8v flywheel????

    does anyone know if i can use the clio rsi 8v flywheel with this engine? this flywheel has a gap in the teeth and a filled in part next to the gap. almost like its for two different types of vehicle. will the volvo ecu be able to use this flywheel for the tdc pickup? i have engine swingin in the bay at the mo so fast help required thanks

    as per text, not sure if this works with the volvo ecu as not seen one on a volvo, so prob wont.

    as per PM, but will post here for future ref. it's the same as a Clio 172/182 flywheel. 60-2 bosch but with a double tooth. For best results that double tooth should be cut back into 2, but some standalone's seem to run fine on it as-is so may or may not be a problem.

    The bigger worry is that the angle BTDC of the reset (gap) might be different to that of the Volvo flywheel so ignition timing might be affected. It will be worth checking!
