    missing and running rough

    rebuilt my engine at ians and rebuilt carb and now its running like crap thinking it may be carb related ive stripped carb and rebuilt to no joy ( i can also screw mixture screw all the way in and engine dont cut out?????? and its a new mixture screw with full needle .

    changed plugs and tryed other leads no joy what else an i missing as im running out of will to live

    Air leak by the sounds of it.

    Air leak, blocked idle jet, or mixture is way out. If you still have the one way valve fitted to the breather check its working properly.

    blocked idle jet = ive stripped carb complete and cleaned and rebuilt checking everythink
    no valve in breather
    mixtureive put standard jets bk in to check =no change
    only air leak but rebuilt carb so can not be carb air leak ????

    aei wouldnt cause anythink would it???

    you said you re-built the engine so why would it not be breathers? Have you done a comp test since the re-build? double check that all pipes and wires etc... go to the right place and there are no splits.

    Try the distrubutor gear ..the way its aligned ...person before who rebuilt the engine had it set wrong ...miller corrected mine ...he said "in the hayness manual theres two steps ...ppl do the first bit and forget to do the second bit".

    Worth a try
