Not a renault but still french :)

Well after letting my 5 go for something supposedly more economic i was on the search for a new car having owned a 106 gti before and really liking it i decided to have another look about for one after a couple of weeks of searching i found this '98 s2 106 gti in onynx black with 68k on the clock and old mot's to back it up. But what really drew me to the car is the bits under the bonnet. Currently running on honda blackbird 45mm throttle bodies dta s40 management 4-2-1 stainless manifold and a full 2 inch stainless pugsport system. Picked it up friday got it back gave it a very good clean and it came up lovely super happy with it.

nice.. i bought myself a little xsi cheap off ebay.. 56k with history to prove, mint inside, runs A1, but paint is dog sh1t.. its peeled to the primer and cracked all over..

its screaming out for a matt blacking and perhaps a dirt cheap track toy as well as a runner.. 106's are awesome drivers cars, its a fact........fact

erm to use as a kinda every day car thats still good for the odd track day and some spirited back lane action plans are bilstein b8 dampers all round lower it 40mm ish all round some wheels prob comp mo's in dark grey or pro race 1.2's some 4 pots up front then next year put some cams in to compliment the bodies and get it mapped again should be sweet then

looks really tidy that does mate, the 106 owners clubs really do suck balls, peugeot sport is probably best bet but its not much better. The engine bay would have to have a quick spray for me , to compliment the really tidy bodywork around it.

Anyway hopefully you still attend the renault related stuff, see you around.

If your looking at changing the suspension, go for the bilstein grp n dampers & faulkener springs. They work really well & not badly priced.
