f4r clutch cover plate bolt question...

Is the part number for the F4R clutch cover plate bolt 7703101548?

not sure of the part number. but did find they snap/ brake very easy when tightening by hand.

i tried an allen capped bolt and they dont seem to tighten as they should, and no i have not cross threaded them, im thinking the pitch is different on the allen capped bolts compared to an oe bolt?

i have one of the oe cover plate bolts and going by what renault said to me over the phone, thats the parts number above for an oe bolt.

from memory, the oe bolts dont need to be tightened too much ~15-20nm off the top off my head.

I think the oe ones are 7mm, 8mm if you use an older F series flywheel.

We had this problem with flywheel bolts on an engine a few weeks ago... Ive never had an issue as I got the flywheel with some, but we had to order some from Renault where they were a couple of quid each - they are 7mm yeah...

After that though we found a Vauxhall in a scrap yard that had 7mm flywheel bolts also, so I would assume they could be used too
