    Lowering

Ok my car has been lowered already with koni adjustables on the front. But I don't know how low it is but I would like it lower. At the back I want it to just sit above where the alloy ends and the tire begins (if that makes sense) and the front the same to equal this.

What springs do I want to be looking at for the front? 50mm?

Hmmm. Lowest possible at the front is -50mm on Konis. What springs do you have now? I have Sparco 50mm and i think that it will be just what you need cuz my plans are same as yours...

Not sure what it is at the front atm, thinking it must be about 35mm, want it lower though as I think the 5 looks meaner.

    Re: Lowering

you wont get it as low as you describe with any sort of shock and spring set-up, unless you pikey mod the springs, i.e chop them! this realy isnt recomended tho and is an mot failiure also, your only option for as low as you want is coilovers.

    Re: Lowering

50mm springs may do the job for that low, i would think that car in the pic is slightly lower at the rear than the front, personally i prefer the rear slightly higher than the front so for that height you describe at the rear coilovers would be my only option. its down to personal choice at the end of the day.

although i will say these cars handle much much better at a drop of just 35 in my opinion than low as a grannys nipples!

they do look mean as tho super low! its a nighmare tho driving a realy low car on the road take it from me constant slowing down for even the smallest of speed bumps just began to piss me off!

and with coilovers if its to low you can just raise it easy peasy!
(providing you torsion bars arnt stuck/****ed)

Here is the pic of car lowered so roof is perfectly horizontal. Front on yellow Konis and Sparco -50mm and rear on yellow Konis.
