You can already get it in Shell petrol stations, in 'Mountain Dew Energy' form. It's Mountain Dew pumped full of caffeine!

They have had to change the name to energy. As the oringinal reason it was removed from shelves was due to the caffine content being to much.. so rather than change that they just didnt sell in uk.

I grew up overseas drinking this as a child.
i cant stand it but the misses is excited over it.
I used to drink that at school but it was.....
The only alternative in my tuckshop was Panda Pops which was even more..
came across this drink back in 1998 on a visit to the usa, and it was yum back then and always wondered when it would make it over here

ive never come across mountain dew over here until recently and i grew up in birmingham
my first taste of the dew was from a out door vending machine in san francisco, i cant imagine what would happen if there was a vending machine on the street in birmingham lol!
weird.. haha vending machine no more i suspect. it was sold in a corner shop round here then just vanished one daywas a dark day!

but ive got to say its not the best when compared to Limca. now this is a drink i want and cannot find in the u.k
I get a good supply of real md from the local airbase, the energy is nothing like real md, tastes more watered down :-(
the best drink of recent times for me has to be this vietnamese orange fanta that this chip shop by me sells, when lined up next to the usual fanta this vietnamese one is much more orangey and its a almost still drink with not much fizz, its sweeter too
Gotta get the Mountain Dew Code Red. Lived off the stuff for two months when i was in the states last summer. So good.

i get it imported from south africa when i get jerky and billtong delivered much nicer than the stuff in the uk.
I bought a couple of bottles yesterday after this thread, to compare with the cans of American MD I've got in the cupboard, and they actually taste totally different. The 'UK' version is no where near as good

was in the shell garage today topping my van up and seen that mountin dew stuff and thought since everone is talking about it i will give it pritty nice it tastes like sprite and ginger beer
They were giving away boxes of the stuff in Newquay last week. I'm sick of it now
And my teeth hurt.
So the Energy stuff tastes nothing like the real MD?
