    Grill Mounted Intercooler?

I need to squeeze an intercooler in somewhere! I have about a fly's dicksworth of space left and not much room for intercooler pipes etc. So this grill mounted thing that k tec sells, anygood?? Do they come up second hand at all?? Looks like my only option as even a CC could be out.

as you can see,you would'nt need to chop any of the bumper or grille, you would'nt even know that it's there.

Frontera 2.5 tdi intercooler that ive got fitted to the van might be worth a look mat, cheap as chips & fits in nicely between the headlamps.

Brigsy thats the doggs dick me old. One of them will do. I would need a tight 90 to the throttle body and some hardpipe from other side to the TD04 comp housing.

THS use the same intercoolers as several other company's, they just charge slightly more.

You can usually find them on Ebay for pennies.

nayls, can you tell me if you had to fit a shorter alternator belt and a campus crank pulley for the pipework to route through to the i.c..? also what diameter piping are you using.?

Yeah, sure mate,it sjould be the same as it's the same number i got!

no,all i had to do is unclip the rad & push it towards the engine so that the grille could sit flat & i choppd the end of the alternator arm.

standard belt & pulley, just chopped the end of the alternator arm off.

the 90 degree pipes off the cooler are 63-51 reducers & the rest are 51mm.
