Mark, that is a fantastic offer unfortunatly I am going to have to decline, the 5 will not keep enough coolant in to get the fecking 5 to you, unless I pull over every ,mile and top it up

Feck me forgot about the carpet, remind me on friday and i will dig it out.

Turning back to my 5 sorted the water leak, well it's stopped leaking coolant anyway and I also made my dizzy shaft adjustable as I had an annoying bog / hesitation at 2500rpm since timing in the piper 285 cam to which I was prob a tooth out on the dizzy gear but having the dizzy adjustable enabled me to move the cap around to get rid.

Re: good old, jobs to do thread

Noticed oil on the top of the turbo today from the oil feed. the little bugger has split on the 90 degree bend hard pipe that returns down to the turbo. Guess i'm off down to pirtec tomorrow to see if it can be replaced, or on a hunt for a replacement.

If anyone can help let me know, it has the female connections at both ends not male, but there are plenty of adapters to fit the turbo and top of oil pressure sender.

Ian MM has already given me a std one, so will be using that if all else fails and i can get it to fit

    Damn cars.......

Looks like your 5 will be making it now mate.

Me and Rich just spent the morning stripping his old engine out, swaping all the components over to new engine and then fitted it in. Runs lovelely so looks like it'll be making for its first time at Nat Day (missed last 2)

Just need to clean it now Rich!!

ive had a smell of fuel inside the car found fuel around the sender. removed the pipes and undone the locking ring to find that someone had put the seal between the locking ring and sender. so cleaned everything up and fitted the seal between the tank and sender and tightened the lock ring. fitted the pipes and no more leak to cap it all off a garage had done a repair on the fuel tank last year when the last owner had it grrrrrrr
