    Any Vag experts

Got myself an S3 (210bhp) just wondered if they are worth mapping to stage one or not, apparently they need engine mods to support anything more than this (sounds like the Evo but with less power, lol)
Any decent forums to get onto as well ??

Yes they are defo worth chipping.. I've had mine done and have no reported problems atm... i would suggest a good map though, let me no and I'll ask my mate at Sanspeed how much he'll do it for you... O and the only thing realy to mention is, it'll probably need a new MAS as they are a common fault!!!

Not really sure about the 'engine mods' comment either as my mate had one a few years ago and was running around the 360bhp mark on standard internals.. I think it was backdraught motorsprot who done the work????

Has it got alot of miles?

You will be runing the K03s turbo rather than the K04 on the 225 spec engine. Low 300's should be fine on std internals with a K04 although there are different spec engines that will be happier at this rate than others.

Few small areas to keep an eye on and the recirc are a bit weak as std as is the AMM I used a later spec one

suspect 240ish from memory is what that turbo produces?

Stick with the tried and tested maps out there I ran 270bhp in the Renault 5 vag conversion and still going stronge a few years on

I was under the impression the S3 ran the KO4 Duncan as it's the 210 BHP spec engine. I think the 1.8 T A3 runs the KO3, but will check. I have the suspension to sort 1st then it's going in for a remap, already bought a forge re-circ valve

APY engine code & KO4 turbo.
