been refurbing a pair of front hubs from a 19 16v .
noticed the wheel bearing are larger than the non 16v models
smaller type is also used on 5/9/11 etc .
anyone know what the idea behind that is at all ?

They have to take higher loadings? Hence a larger bearing for taking the increased forces?
With Renault you usually find they used larger bearings on sport models and the diesel models.
is the inside of the bearing the same diameter, just wondering if the bearing carrier could be bored out to accept bigger ones??
