Get in there :-D, lovin the Gordini

Today is a good day... so far.

I got my "secret" car about 3 weeks ago now, its been on my drive under cover not been used....

About a week ago Dale Jarvis came down and brought a new battery with him, chucked it in the car, tried to start it but no fuel was reaching the engine :-( So we left it alone and decided to work on it another day...

The car has an Alloy swirl pot in the back with 2 fuel pump's, I suspected the fuel pumps were to blame, So today I checked all the fuel pumps, wiring & plumbing...

Put the key in, and joy of all joy's it started first time

Let the engine tick over, kept an eye on the oil pressure & water temp, all was fine, made sure all the lights work and decided to give it a wee drive around my estate (on private road ofcourse), it goes very well.

Now I have to fix a few minor lighting issue's... most likely bulps or connectors need cleaning, & then book in for an MOT this week.

Not 100% sure, althought the pipes were being "pinched" by the rear seat, but I wouldnt say it was enough for them to be blocked, I think just moving everything around, checking all the wiring etc did the job.

Jesus would have to answer the sidey question, but believe me it still sounds fantastic, but not OTT, cant wait to get it out on the roads and get full boost .

I'll admit, the Gordini turbo's are uber cool. Eug used to leave me drive his old one around every now and then, proper retro. He always wanted to do the gt turbo carb conversion to it but someone ran off with his money for the parts so he left the car for waste after taking it apart.
