Re: finally get car back on the road soon

dropped the car off friday evening at gt motorsport in stoke http://www.gtmotorsport.co.uk/ , he was mega busy up there had 3 subarus in along with an absolute mint black s2 escort rs turbo that was in for a zetec turbo conversion also had a bmw m3 having some work done on it.
At the moment am not sure when work is starting on my car but he promised work would start next week.
I also went up to endon services yesterday to pick up the liner seals i ordered on tuesday off them and im going to gsf on monday after work to pick up the uprated head gasket .
oh and whilst i was on the phone to gsf i was informed that ex europarts guru ian nixon now works at a garage only 2 mins from my house so i think ill be paying him a visit for a few tips etc

That was sold years ago, a member on here owns it (Mark, but not sure of his last name or user name).
Was featured in recent PFC, had few little changes so still going strong.

i reckon 180 - 200bhp in a 5 will kill most things on the road a mate of mine owned one of the old backyard racing 5's the electric blue one. This come off the rollers down mikeanics at 201bhp without the nitrous. i know that rollers aint the most accurate way of recording power on 5's & you can not take that figure for gospel, but still Dont think he ever lost a duel on the road with that niether

Not sure that cam will be a 270, you'd want to check what's stamped on the end.

I'd still go bigger with the turbo mate in the future if your having the cam fitted. You'll get the most from it if you do.

Well guys absolutely loving the car again now its just so bloody hard to drive like a saint especially as it seems everyone wants see a gt turbo on full chat hence why they get right up to your back bumper lol.

next months job is to fit new rear discs and pads and also get a decent head unit plus front and rear speakers fitted, love the sound of the gtt but on a long run a few tunes are required lol
