    just bought a new car

Just got back from buying my little campus, the car is a 3 door in green with 49000 miles on the clock. The car has been sat in a garage for 10 years, there were 10 other cars in there nothing flash but are all in the same condition, owned by some old guy who has now passed away.

I bought it for bits to put on my gt restoration. Problem is the car is so mint.

I was going to take the bits i want and sell the shell, so if anyones interested give me a shout.

I really don't know weather to just sell on the car as it is, I swear i valet cars everyday and this car is to good to be true. It has a few little dings in the front wing, and a rust spot on the passenger door, and a few little scabs. The car still has the original paint, the sills look brand new. It does not have the plastics on it so no nasty hidden bits.

My gt is a good shell but this car make mine look shabby.

I will take some pictures tomorrow.

Had a good look round her, apart from the odd little rusty scab and a few parking dings she is a belta.

What do you think its worth to sell on? I had thought £400-500.

I was thinking about using both doors, door cards, rear 1/4 windows and seals, full lock set, a few bits from the dash, removes the switches to keeps as spares, those bits alone would probably cost me between £150-200 after posting etc.

I thought i could then sell the shell for £200.

    What do you think?

£400 as a complete car. This is the unfortunate thing with r5's, most of the time they are worth more being split.

Leave it be dude.. reckon you would regret breaking the old 5 up and once broken it can't be fixed.

mate, to put it bluntly, if your that into r5's and you have found one in as clean condition as this then why not just keep it? store it away under cover or something.

everything seems to be money orientated these days! you either want the car or want the money! im assuming you bought the car because you liked it? or was it purchased to break and make a few £s.

i cant see why you cant use this and convert it into a gtt? surely this is in alot better condition than your current one?

Like i said, i bought it for good solid parts. Im not into breaking car to make a few hundred pounds.

If anyone fancies re shelling there old gt, this would be a good place to start.
