and i use to spray light aircraft,plenty of room to spray your car thier!
Yeah, can't take credit for my bodywork, they guy who owned it before me used to respray aircraft and got it to where it is now, i just like to make it go better. Its kinda funky seeing a private jet in the same booth as the 5 though
I'm not 100% but i hope you haven't put your suspension on the way it was before, looks like you got the tops on the wrong sides.....might be wrong, someone will tell you straight.
Love to see a proper resto on a 5, makes me laugh when people throw money at a 5 when under the panels it's a rot box...

just looked at strut tops on pics thats how it was
when i bought it, think phase II are offset to reduce wheelspin or somthing like that
someone will know true answer
front shocks i replaced on mine rubbers mounts etc etc they coat bout 120 a side well 5 year ago makes massive diferance though
cost not coat sorry had few beers!!!

just being looking at my pics the car looks sorry with no front end on,
it wasen't crashed i took it off because of some rust spots,i was only going to spray outside but one thing lead to another 4yrs later really need to get my finger out of my arse!
Nice project, looks good... going to be some awsome 5`s this year at ND with all the other OE projects going down on here...

just a little update
underneath and wheel arches have being de sealed sand blasted the rust spots and resealed and painted the same as car so it has a nice shine underneath
as im taking engine apart im just cleaning and painting as i go along
few bits blasted waiting for plating
im going to paint airbox and service carb apaint that also
fan motor bracket sand blasted and painted along with motor
new pipes and home made brake bias spring
will keep updating now and then as i progress
under the bonnet
just quick update engine going in this weekend
wont make fcsbut will nd
just few more cant wait to get it in
still trying to source standard exhaust

I'm definately going to be grabbing hold of the minty fresh fives & see if we can get some nice pictures done if the owners can be @rsed with an hour of strategic parking & pictures etc??
