dont hold bad, give it to me straight
dont hold bad, give it to me straight
Depends how much
lets say £1500
I have done, T-Cup. All I saw before I bought it was a picture of the front, covered in mould
i myself find one ive not seen as worthless or only worth the price of its parts (second hand), which isn't often alot..
i dont believe in rust/rot free 5's, there rarer than 16yr old virgins
I bought mine for a bargain price without seeing it first.
It looked alright in the advert, then needed £900 to get it through an MOT. Just my experience though.
I would if it was from people I know on here.
What you've got to ask yourself is ...Do you feel lucky ? Well ? Do ya punk ?

What if it had a long mot on it?
Yep, that's what I said .You just know where to get a dodgy MOT .

i suppose you guys are right, i'm just an inpatient git sometimes, although dave did find me the vw i got and thats been a pain in the arse since i got it
At 1500 No......
might do if it was afew hundred but at £1500 i think id like to look it over!
No way Pedro.
£1500 is a lot of money to spunk if it goes tits up, even if its not alot for a five if you catch my drift.
Right, i'll be the one to go against all others above. I bough my car without seeing it in the metal, however I did request a hundred odd photos most of which showed the car being stripped and rebuilt, and it was 140 odd miles away and on ebay.
It needed and MOT when i got it, but with what I know from being on here I could have sorted the problems out my self for £0. However at the time I paid and auto electrician £50 to sort out some backwards electrics. It then sailed through after i changed the front springs.
if your going to buy it before you see it in the metal, make sure you ask the seller to take photos of the known bad area's (sill's etc) also ask if there is any rust / rot etc. If you turn up and its rotting away and the seller said it was mint, i think you quite in your right to walk away and take your money back with you.......
Just my 2 pence.
no Would you shag a sheep if it was dark
My mates currently selling his Exige race car to a guy in Japan for nearly £50k, guys never seen it in the flesh. Happens all the time........ just cover you ass, do your checks.
The question relates to individuals. for example some people spank 1500 quid on a horse.. others couldnt... same kettle of fish if you get me....
dont see the problem in just going to look at it,even if you got to travel day and night, otherwise why bother, there lots of cars out there..
Depends how many spares you have got to hand? I buy most of mine over the phone and put right what needs doing when I put them in for the MOT.
