    Gear Lever Adjustment

I've got a Haynes manual and I've read the article in the 'articles' section:

    https://www.rtoc.org/boards/showthread.php?t=4798

What neither explain is where the lever should sit when in the neutral position? Most cars have the gear lever weighted so that when you push the lever fwd, it goes straight into 3rd.

When I attach my new anti wobble spring it pulls the lever hard over to the right no matter what I do with the adjustment clamp? Any thoughts appreciated.

some boxes had a self centering spring on the gearbox. - usually found on the volvo version of the jb series box. i think the gtt's got lumbered with the rubbish under body spring....

It's been a while since I've driven a GTT properly so it might be just fine?

    Thanks anyway Sparkie.
