it should smooth out once you're at full throttle. part throttle readings from a carburettor will be a bit weird looking.

try uploading it to the files area instead of the forum

ah, I forgot, you are EFI. In that case, the part throttle readings will only be as good as the mapper. Or, if the readings show overly lean patches it might be that you are not getting enough gas across the sensor, say if it were in the tailpipe.

it's a bit lumpy aint it

where is the sensor mounted ?

does the display on the LM-1 show the same lean readings as the log ?

what happens at full throttle ?

i'm glad some one can open the file

the senor is about 6-8" from the back of the turbo.

    the lm1 shows some sort of 20.1 o2 reading (between 20.1 - 20.5 o2)

some of that log was full throttle (about half where though)

i might take another log and see what happen's? what the best where in take a log? ie full throttle four gear or would 5th be better?

    thanks allan

    Re: lm-1 log works

I think something is intefering with the sensor then, because the reading should never go as high as that.

make sure that the cable is as far away from the HT leads and AEI module as possible. try routing the cable round and out of the bonnet, and in through the door, etc.

regarding it being rich, the other thing that will make the O2 reading look lean is a missfire. is the car missfiring a lot ?

So true, this is what fecked me up at the pod being 5psi down on boost, and I did not get to the bottom of it until months after.

    Re: lm-1 log works

yes, log looks fine to me, it will have been HT noise intefering with the sensor lead

it doesn't look like you have RPM hooked up yet, but it looks to be getting leaner as the revs increase. 13.2:1 is a bit high for anything over 1 bar of boost I'd say. maybe try a smaller air corrector

    Re: lm-1 log works

ok just been out a did another 3 logs the 1st one is from low down in 4th gear and in2 5th til bout 6k ish, the 3rd log is from low down in 5th. i back off in 5th just after 5000rpm as there was a strange noise on the det cans and it shows on the log?

as for the rpm reading, is this another box of tricks i have to buy for the lm-1 or is it simply something i have to enable to show on the logs ?

yes, that's how you monitor for detonation.

im sure you can get led sensors with lights on and beep tones to help you find detonation problems. or is the stethoscope most accurate??

sthethoscope is a bit oldskool, but the prefered method for a lot of tuners. the electronic knock-link and the like can be hit and miss, and need setting up with each different engine they're connected to.
