    306 keeps killing alternators

ok bought a moted and taxed 306 td cheap cheap.

the lad said the alternator failed on it, and he replaced it , however its actually failed again a few days later, and ive brought it as it..

First thing i will do is put a battery on it and check for 13.6v, it may be that hes just had bad luck with a duff 2nd han alternator but if not what would cause it to keep killing them ?

there are only really 3 things on the circuit....

    alt, batt or starter

he's probably killed the batt with the original alt and its making the new one look bad if the batt dont hold charge

should be around 14v on idle, 13ish under load, if thats ok its your batt
