you can remove the door locks easily once you have removed the interior door cards.

the ign lock....if you remove the steering wheel, the lower cowling and undo the 4 bolts/nuts to drop the whole column down, then drill the two lugs that hold the ignition barrel in place, undo the small screw under the ignition barrel. then lever the barrell and the wiring out the top.

It's de-locked, well the doors are...and I've got a spare fob...........so could get away with a barrel and key for now...........when I've put a new turbo oil feed pipe on......then I can start it.....take it to my mates and we can drop the sump again and try a bit harder with the gasket this time!

I know what happened with the one thats on, my mate fancies himself as a bit of a mechanic, and in his wisdom, he decided not to bother with one of the rubber end seals that are part of the sump gasket set, making do with silicone instead........hence leak!

To be fair though, the original, oil leak free sump that we took off in the first place had no gasket at all and was just silicone sealed, with no leakage whatsoever.

Guess there's a knack to it..........

Yup Use a **** load of sealant and I mean a **** load, and make sure you tighten the bolts progressively

Also use the sealant on the moon shaped seals too

    Will do mate,

thats where we boobed.........didn't do the progressive tightening........just let it go off and tightened it up..............

It's not that bad really, just the odd drop, but I can't stand leaky cars.............you can imagine how great I felt when the tubo oil pipe let go..........jeez......there was a "bit" of oil flying about mate!!!!!
