Have you seen the fitting instructions for the Forge front mount on the 5? Unprofessional comes to mind. Not to mention Forge make pretty **** qaulity parts. Intercooler cores don't cool sufficiently and their actuators are pretty piss poor too.

Put it this way... Their actuators are detachable, to replace the **** diaphrams they use, says alot really.

Forge and Collins are the only actuators i've seen leak when I test them, this is next to 20+ year old standard Renault 5 actuators, which still hold their pressure.

I have fitted the Megane 2 Turbo IC behind the grill. It was not easy but cools well and the car has its original look. Do not have to modify the original bumper.

I have the radiator from a R5 Diesel. It is 8cm wider. Cools perfectly.

I've squeezed an intercooler behind the oe grill and run an oe gtt rad and have no problrms with coolant cooling although oil goes through an oil cooler.

chris ska fidos got a raider has got this to fit behind oe bumper although the oe bumper rear had to have a little skim to fit

Haven't tried yet on track. Only a bit hill climbing in the summer (30 degrees). But it was perfect. (it was never so good before)
The surface is 25% bigger than the std. (thickness is the same) And it was not too expensive.

If you would try to fit it I can help you.
It is not easy. You need a 1cm shorter belt. Have to cut from the actuator upper holder, have to modify a bit the driver side bonnet holder....

mine has a forge fmic, seems ok but dont have an inlet temp gauge to tell how effcient it is, am also going to remove some of the cross member so its sits further in and i can run a standard bumper

Here in Hungary nearly all the bigger auto parts shops sells them. I have bought a nissens one. It was about 80-90£ new. But it doesn't have an oil cooler in it.

    Exactly.
You have to lengthen the upper radiator water hose.
And it won't fit with a std. intercooler.

ive tried both the extra van 1.9d rad and the clio 1.9d rad, the clio one is smaller that the extra van one. they both cool ok but you have to do abit of chopping and triming of bits to get them to fit snug.

regarding the intercooler, mine is pretty big you can see here it CAN be angled to fit behind the front bumper, i just couldnt be bothered messing around to much so i chopped the bumper[abit too much] but hey.

The R5 1.6D rad is different as I know.
As I remember it fits perfectly. No modification needed for the fitting.

mmm not sure on the pressure drop across those coolers. Again its a factory cooler designed for 8-10 psi. Got rid of by the 225 crew in favour of a (dare i say it) forge unit.
