    Re: gordinis return

this has been floating around for months, trouble is it'll flop, all there gunna do is take a RS model, like the new 250 megane, paint it blue, stick on some white stripes, a couple of badges and ramp the price up, what a wasted opertunaty

    Re: gordinis return

If you ask me they should continue to make the normal RS models and then strip them out, tweak the engine and suspension a little, kinda like what they did with R26r and call that the Gordini, after all Gordini was the race cars of the renault range the first time round

    Re: gordinis return

exactly, its like calling the new puma or capri that ford are making an RS.... rs is the top end that are made and were the best of their time..... making one of them one when they should be badged ST doesnt make sense, in all fairness though.... its going to sell good more than likely, but back in the day the top end cars were lairy and so much different from their counterparts, nowadays they dont even make engine changes half the time, maybe a slight cam change thats it.... no 40bhp extra or stuff like that.

but in the long run, it means the gordini name lives on and is remembered, which in all fairness is NOT a bad thing at all imo

    Re: gordinis return

    what a let down
i was hoping the gordini twingo would be an RS chassis with the wider track and a beefed up GT engine.

gutted with that, ive been waiting till next year thinking about buying one..
    forget that sh*t

    Re: gordinis return

people miss the idea of the raider,

it is actually "edition Alain Oreille" to celebrate renault winning lots of grp N stuff, just a shame they didn't put it in the electric blue of the winning rally car

sold quite well in france, but as usual we got an edition we didn't understand, "radier"?? well apart from the american football team winning the superbowl, which ofcourse we all follow!!!

just goes to show that renault missed the goal again! but atleast it gave us a few 1.7 twin turbo cars!

The RDS radio unit, the addition of the alarm system as standard and the deletion of everything Red ,minus the gearknob, also made it quite appealing
