    Dini N/A Engine build

I'm in the process of setting up a GTA service and tuning setup .Not a huge market but a lot of the Alpine lads do not do spanners ..Out of the blue , one of the Alp lads has asked me to put together a Dini N/A from two lumps and new bits he has .
Can anyone point me in the direction of some tech stuff on these things .I'm confident about the basics but any tips on pitfalls and common faults would be most welcome .

yes, its easy to put together - remember the liner seals!- might wanna put alittle silicone sealant on them too.

a big one to remember...YOU MUST PUT THE CAM/DIZZY DRIVE GEAR IN BEFORE YOU PUT THE HEAD ON!!!!! IT WILL NOT FIT DOWN THE HOLE IN THE HEAD!

Cheers Sparkie . A little silicon goes a long way but too much goes even further

if you measure everything you are supposed to then it could take a day. if you have a reground crank supplied with bearings and you aren't gonna get the liner heights in descending order then , maybe 6 hours ish?

Lewis - yeah, i wonder how i know that....

is that cos he's got his hands full at the moment? or cos he's heard about your alpine engine building skills, even if you are used to dealing with 2 extra cylinders! The 1397cc lump will be a lightweight compared to the V6 lump

he keeps pestering me for my le car 2 turbo seats! - hands off!

you'll need the turbo head, as the N/A is different thickness and you'll need a cam, journal bearing, cam followers and work out what you're gonna do about the waterpump and the angle of the gtt engine....

Thats just for starters, after that manifolds you'll need the dizzy and drive as well unless you have a passion for the C series of engines or are limited by competition rules/regs I'd look at something from the F series of engines it will be easier and probably cheaper to do
