The cup dies on Silverstone GP

Raced on the Silverstone GP Sunday, superb fast track but brutal on the car.

Dropped a valve on the very fast hanger straight at 6200rpm.

    Sorry to see that mate

Should be able to pick up another running lump for less than a couple of hundred, and around the same outlay again if you wanted to treat it to new P&L's.

Blimey, Dave, that looks worse than I thought. Things just seemed to sound worse during our conversation on the phone yesterday.

Oh er looks like my last engine everything was destroyed, I suppose it spat the piston crown, valve etc through the back of the turbo too?

It seems that way as Dave told me the turbo was seized and had metal fragments falling out of the back of it.
