    Induction Kits?

I'm looking to change my induction kit as mine is looking a little old and I quite fancy a sparkling one! (I'm like a magpie). There are a few polished ones on KTR that have caught my eye, but has anyone got any recomendations?

Also the samco hose for the induction kit on KTR has a small outlet on it, what is that for? I'm also concerned as it bends through 180 degress meaning it'll sit next to my turbo and suck in hot air. The hose I have on at the mo bends 90 degress .

    Cheers lads

Cut the telephone hose in half and join it together simples

The hole in the telephone hose is for a breather hose which you dont really need along with a **** load of other hoses

    Re: Induction Kits?

fair point but why spend 75 quid on a new hose onlt to cut it in half? That's why there is no such thing as a short cut, because if it was actually shorter it would be called the way!

You would never find me paying 75 nicker for one hose, get a second hand one or buy two ninety degree bends off ebay, demon tweeks etc

    Re: Induction Kits?

Yeah like I said above its for a breather hose, instead of all the ****ty fumes being vented to the atmosphere there are directed back into the inlet tract which wont really do you any favours apart for being green and saving the planet. Some say with the o.e breather in situ it creates negative pressure in the sump which can help with oil leaks, could be a load of bollocks. You could blank the hole in the hose and add a small filter to the end of the breather hose or you can delete all the breather hoses and use a catch tank, a bling one like a mocal one or a red bull lin like mine

Mines bigger than that wee one I'll post measurements tonight,

Although mine is in a different location it is the BBPT oversized jobby in which they used to front mount when people bought the pace chargecooler kit from them

    Re: Induction Kits?

I recommend the HKS mushroom filter 200mm diameter with 80mm pipe connection doesn't need alot of space but airflow through filter is unmatched, got one on my subaru and increase in induction is increadible. Will be fitting mine at christmas when i've constructed air box where header tank was.

    Re: Induction Kits?

Ok, well the filter has written on it 150 x 190, it is a Green cotton Powerflow cone filter is also has a massive trumpet to reduce it to fit my silicone attachment to turbo compressor which is 63mm.

Further pics to follow when BT sort out my broadband at my new place
