Xenon, je vais essayer de la traduction!
"Superb conversion using the alpine cylinder head, I have 2 friends that have just finished this conversion, although not to the standard of yours!
Could you tell me where to buy the suspension top mounts the same as yours ? Me and my brother have looked and found nothing. Your top mounts are beautifull (you can adjust camber and castor I suppose!). Thankyou in advance for your help."
Lucky you didn't use dictionary.com translater
et pour l'instant je trouve pas ............... mais tes coupelles a toi sont magnifiques !!!

awesame
Update on progress
I have also had an alloy rad fabricated and mounted to the under side of the boot floor, this will leave me more space for the intercooler and also there will be less heat soak.
As normal danny its looking very good
Can i ask, where did you buy the manifold parts from or did you get them made specially?
Cheers
Chris
Hi Chris had the manifold parts CNC machined did copy a few ideas from other manifolds that I have seen.
i dont see the pics
What pic's?
can you see these
https://www.rtoc.org/boards/album.php?albumid=491
that link gives me this message

dont know whats wrong , if i go to your statistics in your profile and look at your latest posts ,i can see that you posted a link in 4 posts , but in the thread itself its not showing up
when i copy the links they all open to blank white screens
cant see it either mate
I Can
when I didn't see anything I just figured you were having a special moment
Got some pic's of my alloy rad today
can peeps actually see them this time
why have you blanked the back of the rad off, wont this restrict airflow when moving (i.e. when the fans arent running)?
I can't see the pic's mate
No pics again.
you should be able to see them now?
Danny set his album to private (only visable to him and mods) I've made it public.
Yeeeeeahhh can now see alloy rad.
looks great danny love the effort mate keep it up
I think what your saying is right Dan but surely surely airflow through the rad is the optimum way of reducing water temps on the move.
Pretty much every car radiator is opened backed in the sense of what youve had done.
Be interesting to see how well it works in the way you have it though
Btw, that radiator is pure sex
So when's it going to run then, Dan? This year is catching you up mate
Some new pic's of my manifold nearly finished
Spoke to the fabricator today the reason for the shroud is to stop hot spots, this is done by drawing air from the hole surface of the rad.
If it didn't have a shroud the heat would only be drawn from the surface in front of the fan. He also said when Iam moving along the air will flow through the fans.
The other thing with my rad is that it is a dual cooling rad. It has a baffle on the end tank which channels the coolant across the top half and then cools again across the bottom half.
Awsome project, top work
Danny think i meet you at pod when i was with civic, i got confused to who you was at first .....
Yeah i thought you might have been someone of civlife or something along them lines untill you went then i clicked, i had a blank moment... Aiii ye lou TDI sent us an email to join up, havnt really been on much, im sure the EGs will take over ..
Got some nice clamps machined for my remote shock canisters
Dan, I didnt realise or read, where you were going to mount the rad, I'm pretty sure itll be very effective
Car is coming along nicely btw...any estimate on the first day of running ?
i know im the last 1 that should b saying this but
how often do you think "i wish i never started this, sooooooooo much ****ing money gone"
i do it all the time, if i had the chance to do it over again i know i wouldnt.
you only have to look at what else you could have bought and enjoyed instead of spending and working on, then when its done its worth about 10% of what its cost you.
i could have bought a porsche 911 turbo and had change or a 911 gt3 or a ferrari 355 convertible for what my 5 has cost me so far, and i wouldnt have to even open the bonnet on 1 of them, just get in and drive it.
you must be in the same boat as me?
oh but congrats on the build so far lol
your intake manifold and SUPERB
