    gt turbo engine rebuild no#2[tufftride]

    No#2 rebuild.[Tufftride Engine]
Not as many pics as the first.

the engine block and internal componants where tufftrided for this rebuild, note the black colour isnt dirty gunky oil but the is the colour that the metal turns to when tufftrided.
i thought the block looked really good when this was done+plus of also having the benefit of not having to paint it. the block will now no longer rust.

i loved this engine and was going to fit it in my current 5 but money troubles forced me to sell all my rebuilds, i did all 3 one after another.

you will need to fit a new core plug[small alloy one just below the camshaft core plug] as tufftriding dizzolves alloy.

    yes mate your right
after any chemical process i have done,no matter what it be(depending on part treated), i firstly have it chemically washed (unsure of the process,i let me mate get on with it) i then pressure wash and lastly steam clean. that does the trick like i said,i go abit anal on making sure things are clean.

this was the only build i used hylomar, on the rest i used a smear of silicone sealant

to be honest there really wasnt that much hylomar after id wiped the excess off(not shown in the pics) i dont know why i used hylomar back then as i hate the stuff
