Was that the last credit crunch so whats the story behind them still being there all this time ? and why did it close ?
The guy who owns it, well his wife died. it broke his heart so much he kinda just gave up living.
Hes often in there do the books and stuff but he wont sell any cars.
that looks kinda creepy in a way.
also for some reason i keep thinking of a forecourt in an old communist country im waiting for the pic of some butch russian chap driving up in his lada
club together and go buy a motor i rekon, offer the 2500 for the bug
Where is this place anyway??
Is that in Church Gresley or somewhere like that near Burton??
Remember seeing something like that before when i was at college at Burton Tech.
when i asked djinuk if he new anything about it as its on his door step he said he went and asked the guy about the metro a few years ago and he still wanted the window price for it! which i cant see from the pics but i bet theres a few quid in that beetle if the panels were solid
Not to sure where it is steve but i'm sure one of the local lads will kiss and tell
anyone spot the master van in the collection
looks well spooky
is well spooky especially when u go past at night and the light in the cabin is on, anyone wonna go and have a peek through the window
And ide have gotta way with too...... if it wasnt fir those meddling kids.........
yea , tiz as said, the guy is a little crazy, still mows the lawn and does paperwork in the office, accompanied with a fly/wasp infestation, the place has a pit behind it and all sorts, would be a great garage, i offered him on the metro, astra and beetle but no joy, he told me classic car mag was buying all the cars off him , this was about 4 years ago, welcome to come up this way, if you want to find the place postcode is de11 9lh , church gresley , top of cappy hill on the right hand side.
Thats a great story, ive devolped a soft spot for the metro, i wanna take it home an spoil it....., how sad am i?........she is...
Feel sorry for the fella, everything must be of sentiMENTAL value, after his wife died, dunno about you but that would probably fcuk me over!
People in Derbyshire are just .............. odd ..............
yer looks a great garage plenty of room
What paperwork is he doing? SORN declarations?
I wonder if any of the car actually run? I need if they have been standing for over 10 years they cant really be in great shape....
Nothing more than scrap metal sitting there... The bettle is most likely the only car worth keeping.
no idea what paperwork, probably naughts n cosses , they have actually been stood over 20 years so i should imagine that all rubber fuel lines etc are perished.
Perhaps not only is the forecourt not trapped in time but it can also travel in time....
wow that really does look quite creepy
