after 11 years I'm back with a phase 1 5turbo

it not the type of 5 i wanted at first,but looking past the horrible silver paint and the 17" wheels there defiantly potential here.im guessing lots of people may know the car.
the rear inside has be carpeted very well. and i love the roll cage and strut brace.just going to get rid of these seats and stick in some nice black bucket seats. new door cards and thats the inside pretty much done.
as for the out side. full respray in o.e blue and I'm not 100% sure if to colour code the bumpers and kit or have them done in anthracite grey or something along them lines. but I'm 95% sure thats what will happen. then some nice 15" turbine or similar wheels and hopefully some good power from the engine..

after i had taken the body kit and bumpers off i was in shock to only find 2 bits of rust that will need attention. 1 small bit on the sill and 1 on the o/s rear bumper bracket.
to say I'm pleased its not a rot box is an understatement.

Looks a good clean 5 and solid base for a project. Did see it for sale in Thetford recently, Im just down the road south of Norwich. All the shiny bling bit could be ebayed to generate some cash for oe bits or new bucket seats etc.

hi all i was going to change the engine on my r5 for a c20let motor. which still might happen at a later date. but for now,I'm going to get a cam and get the carb sorted so i can run a bit more power,as its in for a respray soon and money will be tight.

whilst the body has its rust removed,the kit has been away to be painted in matt satin black. as they had been painted silver i thought that satin matt would be a nice colour with the oe electric blue

ive ordered 1 of the phase 1 cargo fibre grills. and I'm waiting for my diamond cut turbines.and some nice seats.oh and new headlights..
