    every time

do gsf still do the complete top end kits? as they where a better buy and always great to have the other gaskets on stand by just in case?

maybe another item to re introduce in the club shop now that summer is coming

Worth having a look at the MLS Head Gasket, pricey but once the heads been off once or twice it will be worth it.

A little overkill imo but worth a look purely for the saving as It can be re-used.

Not sure how many times however.......

didnt know they did mls gaskets for the c1j gtt?

run one on the f7p though, not cheap, but bullet proof if your running big boost and your engine is in tune although most still like the idea of a standard type gasket, to keep a fail safe release in the engine should it not have a good tune

    Re: best head gasket

Indeed, I'm using a standard head gasket for my c1j.

If your going nuts with the power tho, definitely a worth while investment

£136 I think minus delivery for a top end set with an MLS head gasket. If you re-use it twice it's the same price as a blue seal or their about.

I have enquired about that head gasket but seems that price has gone up crazy. What's the going rate for them?

    Re: best head gasket

Cheapest ones on E-Bay are £30, for a blue seal one it's £45 most local motor factors still can get them but the likes of GSF or at least my local branch have stopped stocking them as have my local Euro Parts.

I might just be getting fobbed off but i went on the hunt for one a few weeks back and couldn't find one at three local places only one could get them and that wasn't for 3 days (was a Friday afternoon)

Used to be able to get them from virtually anywhere

    Re: best head gasket

cheers for the replys. finally got round to getting my head off tonightand found that the one ive been using is the blue mellior one. so looks like ill be getting one of these again.

looks like new when i took it off. only thing that im a bit worried about is where the liners and block are the small gap inbetween the gasket looks a bit deformed.
