I've sent you a pic mate.
I've sent you a pic mate.
Don't know either, saw you only received one pic yet so thought i'd join.
if a description has to be given i'm turning of the roundabout in front of the Nurburgring entry gate.
Just submitted mine mate, let me know if it hasn't come through...
Heres a clue...
Its 54 metre wingspan is bigger than a Boeing 757 or 767 jet.
Didn't know that's the criteria. Will send you a different pic then.
Criteria is: A photo of your car next to a point of interest in your town, a bonus point being a fact about the point of interest.
Deadline is tomorrow (5th November) but happy to extend till say Friday. I have 2 entrants albeit I can't open Ashys pics my bad so this gives other people a chance to take part. How does that sound?
You won't have to extend the deadline for me mate, i just sent my pic out of boredom anyway.
Don't have anything that qualifies atm and no time to make one
PM for ya mate.... 2 entry's? That's good odds!
Pics received Ashy.
Ok the deadline stays as the 5th November, entries in by 4pm tomorrow then I'll choose the winner and post the pics up
Before i go ahead with anything, do i PM the winner BEFORE posting pics or just go ahead and announce the winner and runners up on the thread with the pics all at the same time??
I don't want to get this all wrong
Just post it in the thread mate!
Well, after sifting through all the entries...... 3 to be exact, and 2 of them from 1 person i've chosen a winner. So a big thank to Ashy and 'DJ Craig' for taking the time to head out to somewhere of interest locally to take a pic.
In SECOND PLACE...... DJ CRAIG
FACT: My 5 parked infront of a old coal mine site wich as now been turned into a leisure center, the wheel you see at the front was used on the old mine shaft and the leisure center has been designed to look like a wheel.

I liked the way you used the iconic statue as a makeshift Roll Royce badge for the 5

Cool, thanks, guess I need to think about the rules for the next round!
Well done ashy, good pictures
Late, very very non official entry, as the photo isn't current & has been seen before & the car is on a trailer. Just thought some might be interested.
Photo taken outside the Cat & fiddle pub at the top of the infamous Macclesfield to Buxton "cat & fiddle run" on the A537 Often referred to as the most dangerous road in britain.
However in recent years the whole thing is a average speed health & safety farce.
Facts: Macclesfield is known for the the silk industry, Buxton is a victorian spa town now famous for its bottled spring water & read about the A537 here.
